Kidney Support Network on the Move
Not-for-profit charitable organisation the Kidney Support Network Inc has opened a new op shop at Currimundi on the Sunshine Coast through Ray White Commercial Caloundra.
The Kidney Support Network has leased approximately 137 sqm premises at 1 Gannawarra Street, Currimundi, in a deal negotiated by Ray White Commercial Caloundra’s Brenton Thomas.
Brenton Thomas said the Kidney Support Network had operated its op shop to sell donated goods and clothing plus bric-a-brac from premises at Buddina for approximately 10 years but needed a larger retail outlet.
“The local Currimundi community are excited about the presence of this new retail business,” Brenton Thomas said.
“The landlords were also delighted to have this exceptional charity group as a tenant. Previously, the shop was occupied by another support group called Multicap.”
Brenton Thomas said the Kidney Support Network last month officially opened the new shop, which is located a short distance from Currimundi Lake.
“Kidney Support Network Inc is a volunteer-based not-for-profit organisation and registered charity, providing quality support to Queenslanders who are impacted by Chronic Kidney Disease,” he said.
“This support includes assisting children who suffer from kidney disease and their parents and families. The support group is vitally important for patients and recently they have a new vehicle to transport patients to hospital.”
The Kidney Support Network has taken out a 2 + 1 year lease at net rental of $25,000 per annum.
