Last two Caloundra industrial units smash $500,000 at auction

THE two remaining industrial units at Moffat Beach have sold for a combined $515,000 under the hammer at the Caloundra Event Centre following multiple bids for both assets.

With a floor area of 95sq m, unit 2/9-11 Allen Street sold for $185,000 and with a floor area of 174sq m, unit 6/9-11 Allen Street sold for $330,000.

The assets were marketed by Ray White Commercial Caloundra Commercial Sales and Leasing Brenton Thomas.

Mr Thomas said there is a solid demand in the market for industrial properties for both investors and owner-occupiers.

“The Moffat Beach development was a great success as this type of small tenancy hasn’t been adequately offered in the marketplace,” he said.

“We had more than 20 enquiries for the assets during the campaign and it is was no surprise to see there were multiple bids for both on the day.

“For the small investor or owner-occupier, these properties were absolutely ideal and the affordable price point really appealed to potential buyers.

“There’s solid demand for stand-alone freehold property that’s still not being satisfied, and it was a real bonus for buyers that the units were available in a well-managed small complex with low maintenance.”
